Happy New Year Friends!!

Many thanks again for all your hard work and loyal support for the Citizens for Georgene Lockwood campaign for Yavapai County Supervisor.  You made a lasting impact on our region and although we didn’t win, we had a significant enough made a strong showing that we and have some “political capital” and credibility to build on. I am working to make sure that impact lasts and grows. 

Where in the World is Georgene?

I told the media on primary night that we were “not going away” and I have kept that promise. I have launched a blog called, Yavapai Central to report on all things Yavapai County — culture, history, encounters with wildlife, politics and the human story, and first and foremost, news. I am attending county meetings just as I did during the campaign and have begun writing regularly about issues and activities in the County. I have also lined up some interesting guest bloggers for future posts.

Yavapai Central also has links to other blogs and web sites of interest to the residents of Yavapai County. We will be continually developing these resources and want to hear from you about your favorite Yavapai County sights, sounds, sites and tidbits.
